ETI 054 | The Role of the Buttcap when Serving

Choke way up on the racquet

The enables you to feel which way the butt cap rotates and when

And clarifies whether you are pushing or snapping and where

This drill serves as an intervention

There are lots of words on the web and perhaps this is simpler than the words

You hope to see the butt cap when the arm is up

And if so you will find a bit more ball speed with far less effort

Great lesson. Worked so well I tried it on the groundstroke. Works there too. In fact, better. For the first time Ever I was able to hit with a really loose grip without holding way way down on the grip. Cannot wait to get back to try serving again with what I learned from the ground strokes.

Great tip and exercise. Kinetic “feel” instruction is helpful. Seeing and feeling. Thanks for sharing.

This is an excellent way to get someone to feel and understand what the serve pronunciation is supposed to feel like. Thanks for your great work!
